Shepton Mallet

We invested over £50,000 to transform a play park for children to enjoy in Hillmead, Shepton Mallet.

We asked customers for their thoughts and ideas for the new play area in the community. The old park was then transformed with new play equipment and fencing, as well as a new environmentally friendly floor using recycled plastic made from the parts of old washing machines.

The park is fully accessible and features popular equipment like a swing and trampoline, as well as a wheelchair friendly roundabout and seating area.

This has been a genuinely community focused project to create a play area that all children can enjoy. We were pleased to work innovatively and use recycled materials to create a safe play space that local people will be proud to use.

“The play park is fantastic and well worth the wait. My children and many others can be seen out playing there after school and at weekends. It looks so much better, and the picnic tables are a lovely addition. I know it will be enjoyed by all the children for years to come.”
